ABOUT THE FOUNDER
Bonnie Green founded Green Consulting to provide customized ethics, compliance, human rights/safeguarding, and privacy services.

Bonnie draws upon a broad range of experiences in both the public and private sectors.
Experience
In the public sector, Bonnie served as the Chief Ethics Officer and Director, Ethics Office, for the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP), the largest humanitarian organization in the world and a 2020 Nobel Prize Laureate, headquartered in Rome, Italy. She reported directly to the Executive Director of WFP and was an advisory member of the senior management executive committee.
She led and managed the Ethics Division from end-to-end—developing the vision, strategies, and work plans; then, ensuring successful execution through team leadership and management skills. In addition to managing the Ethics Office staff, Bonnie managed the Ethics Ambassadors (~150) and independent consultants. Bonnie enjoys working collaboratively with business, operations, finance, and functional areas.

Bonnie provided relevant and timely advice and guidance; annually, administered a Conflicts of Interest and Financial Disclosure Programme; conducted thorough reviews of claims for Whistleblower Protection, collaborated in identifying protection measures for Whistleblowers, and advised on management matters, as well as disciplinary actions; drafted and implemented effective policies and standards; and prepared and conducted interesting and relevant trainings, communications, and materials in various media.

During this time, Bonnie also developed knowledge, skills, and experience to combat sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA): attempted and committed acts of sexual misconduct against those most vulnerable. Bonnie was appointed the Corporate Focal Point for PSEA for WFP. From the onset, Bonnie managed the PSEA Focal Points (~300); provided advice and guidance; identified PSEA risks, proposed mitigation measures in collaboration with Enterprise Risk Management; and took the lead in developing training and awareness materials. She also prepared the first organization wide PSEA strategy, approved by the Executive Director. Bonnie led innovative and impactful initiatives in WFP; and, in the greater UN system and international community, she played a leading role in several initiatives.

In the private sector, Bonnie established and led the standalone Office of Ethics, Compliance and Privacy of Sodexo, Inc., resulting in Sodexo recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies by Ethisphere during her tenure.
As the head of the Office of Ethics, Compliance, and Privacy, Bonnie provided advice and guidance on legal and ethical matters to executive leadership, management, and all levels of employees; administered the annual mandatory ethical conduct certification process; established and maintained policies and procedures to effectuate compliance with new and existing laws, regulations, and other legal and business standards applicable to the Company; created the first Company whistleblower reporting policy; maintained a code of conduct for third parties (Supplier Code of Conduct); created communications and delivered training/education; and responded to alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.
While with Sodexo, Bonnie also spearheaded the development and implementation of the privacy and data protection infrastructure and led the privacy incident assessment team, as well as the development of critical privacy and data protection policies, projects, and initiatives. She was part of senior level management in Sodexo and a member of the executive team of the Law Department, reporting directly to the General Counsel as an Associate General Counsel and Vice President.
As in-house counsel at Sodexo, Bonnie advised on the full range of legal matters for multiple business lines, working closely with colleagues in business and functional areas, developing intimate knowledge of operational and financial matters.
Bonnie also worked as an attorney at a law firm where she advised clients on real estate matters, and for Marriott International, Inc., where she worked side-by-side with business developers, operators, and functional areas on international hotel transactions, operations/business matters, and corporate infrastructure and governance.
